Bristol's New Airport At Lulsgate
Officially Opened on May 1st 1957
(Flight  May 10th 1957)

After H.R.H. the 'Duchess of Kent had unveiled a commemoratory tablet and declared the new terminal building at Lulsgate Airport open on May 1, a number of personages were introduced to Her Royal Highness. Among them, below, were Mr. Cyril Uwins  were introduced to Her Royal Highness. Among them, below, were Mr. Cyril Uwins and Sir Reginald Verdon-Smith. The Lord Mayor, Alderman G. A. Watson Allan, J.P.is extreme right.

In the course of the Royal tour of inspection, a visit was made to the Bristol Britannia in which Sir Reginald Verdon-Smith and his family arrived. Above Right, the Duchess of Kent, Mr.Walter Gibb, Mr. Harold Watkinson, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, and Sir Reginald Verdon-Smith.
